Positive Kitchen Pledges Positive Action In Sweet Deal For Frontline NHS Staff.

Specialist food producer Positive Kitchen is on a mission to thank frontline NHS staff by organising the biggest cake giveaway in history.

The environmentally friendly food brand, set up by husband and wife team Aatin and Helen Anadkat in 2019 has focussed on supplying into the food service sector but due to the outbreak of COVID-19 they have accelerated the launch of their consumer brand Positive Bakes.

Rather than stay static, the team has been focussed on creating gluten free and plant based essential products such as butter, cheese and bread that support key sectors as demand for food has surged.

With the nation coming together through the crisis, they hope they can turn the growing gifting trend they are seeing on their website into a way to allow all their customers to show their appreciation for the dedicated and hardworking NHS frontline staff and NHS volunteers.

Aatin explains;

“The idea came about when we saw the influx of gift and care package orders with positive and loving messages via our site. It reminded us that family, friends and community are still very much alive just in a different way.”

“We thought about what we could do to support the community and how great it would be for the entire frontline NHS Staff and every NHS volunteer to receive a donation of cake from us to show our thanks and remind them that they along with so many others right now are our heroes who definitely deserve a treat!”

Aatin and Helen have always put sustainability and low environmental impact at the heart of their business and are now focussed on supporting the wider communities at a time when unity is paramount.

Helen explains;

“We have several motivations for doing this. From seeing first hand the positive impact the NHS staff have had on family and wanting to thank them through to marking the launch of our direct to consumer platform by doing something special and making a difference.

“Given the scale of the numbers involved it would not be possible for us to fund this all ourselves and that is where the matched model came from.”

“It will also allow us to create employment opportunities for many people in the food service sector and the wider supply chains who are really struggling right now.”

“Above all else we want people to feel positive and realise through all our actions we can have a great impact on our communities and make a difference.”

Positive Kitchen & Co will match every single purchase made on their website www.positivebakes.co.uk like for like and donate on your behalf to the NHS front line staff and volunteers from the 27th March 2020 onwards.

Customers can order online and expect next working day delivery subject to demand via the website www.positivebakes.co.uk
