IPP looks east with expansion into Poland

23 July, 20

IPP, one of Europe’s leading poolers of sustainable wooden pallets into the retail and FMCG supply chains, has announced the first steps of its broader expansion into Eastern Europe.

The long-standing, family-owned specialist business, which has seen steady growth across its diverse sectors, said the first strategic expansion development will be Poland, a market that is looking to harness the power of the circular economy.

To drive the initiative, IPP has appointed Tomasz Sączek as managing director for the new Polish business.

A familiar name in Polish logistics, Tomasz, who specialises in supply chain and logistics process optimisation, has more than 20 years of experience in senior logistics roles for leading retailers and white goods manufacturers.

It’s the optimum time for IPP to establish itself in Poland where awareness of the advantages of pallet pooling – the economies of scale, the synergies and the efficiency – is higher than ever before.

Moreover, Polish companies are starting to realise the importance of carbon footprint reduction and sustainable growth.

Tomasz said: “IPP is one of Europe’s leading poolers of sustainable wooden pallets, a status it has attained by being open to new trends and solutions.

“For a company like IPP, with sustainability as one of its main priorities and well-established, highly regarded pallet pooling solutions, now is the perfect time to make an entrance into Poland.

“IPP’s pledge to its customers hinges upon three elements. We can prove that we are easy to work with, we go the extra mile and we demand high standards.

“We are fully committed to all our customers, determined to deliver the pallets they need, when they need them, without any hassle and with competitive, transparent pricing.

“The logistics environment in Poland right now needs a new professional partner and an expert in pallet pooling with the highest level of service – we aim to be that partner.”

Eric Schrover, chief commercial officer at IPP: “Our strategy has always been to become Europe’s pooler of choice, with a strong presence in the continent’s most important economies. Many of our customers operate throughout Western and Southern Europe, but in our search to expand our geographic coverage and increase our network density, IPP has been focusing on expansion into Eastern Europe, especially, and initially, in Poland.

“We need to be there to offer our customers unimpeded access to our pallet pooling and the advantages it has to offer and, I am delighted to report, this long-held ambition has now come to fruition.

“Tomasz is a true expert who is aware of the challenges companies in retail and FMCG are facing. He also understands that pallet pooling can provide, in many instances, answers to those challenges.

“Although Poland will be our first foothold, it is not the end of our European ambitions as we are looking to extend our model further into Eastern Europe.”
