Simon Rogan at home recognised as the best-value Michelin starred at home food experience

23 July, 20

In a survey carried out by Kutchenhaus, owned by Europe’s largest kitchen manufacturer Nobilia, 26 takeaway services operated by Michelin starred kitchens across the UK, were ranked for value for money, overall dining experience and customer service. Simon Rogan at home won through pipping offerings from the likes of Heston Blumenthal, James Sommerin and Mark Kempson to the top spot.

Not only that the new service has also been highly commended by The Telegraph, listed among the top Michelin starred takeaway dining experiences in the UK.

Initially launched on 12th June in limited areas surrounding Cartmel, home to Simon’s flagship restaurant L’Enclume, Simon Rogan at home has gone from strength to strength. Thanks to a recent partnership with Lakeside Travel Services delivery areas have now been increased, to cover the Furness Peninsula, the South and Central Lakes, and various locations in and around Keswick, Penrith and Ullswater, with further areas being added in coming weeks.

Each carefully crafted dinner menu created by Simon Rogan’s chefs, is bursting with quality fresh ingredients grown at Simon’s own Our Farm, less than a mile from Cartmel, served up alongside carefully selected produce from our trusted UK suppliers.

Everything needed to create a Simon Rogan at home menu has been expertly prepared by Rogan’s team of chefs, so that all diners have to do is download a short video, follow the step by step instructions and plate up each dish for a restaurant-like finish of the dish.

Matched wine pairings curated by L’Enclume’s sommelier team alongside other drinks as well as a selection of local British cheese from local specialist cheesemonger Cartmel Cheeses.

Sam Ward, Managing Director, commented: The Kutchenhaus survey result is a welcome pat on the back for the team who have worked exceptionally hard to create a concept totally from scratch. As a company we are constantly striving to innovate and to create. The hospitality industry is quick to rise to the challenges it faces, and in this particular instance we saw an opportunity to create meals for our existing customers, which they could enjoy at home made using the same quality produce that we use in our restaurant dishes. Indeed Simon Rogan at home has also given us an opportunity to reach diners that may not have previously enjoyed the food we create, giving them a chance to discover the truly exceptional and creative food we produce and a little insight into what we as a company are about.’’
