In 2019 the market for vegan products exploded into the mainstream, and this November Food Matters Live 2019 will be celebrating the most innovative plant-based ingredients and products in a new Plant Based Pavilion.

It is the first time Food Matters Live has created a bespoke pavilion dedicated to plant-based producers and manufactures, and this reflects the growing consumer and investor interest in vegan products and ingredients with the 2018 UK market worth £443m.

Supported by PB&Co, the Plant Based Pavilion will bring together some of the freshest and most exciting 100% vegan ingredients and finished products from around the globe and exhibitors will have the chance to network with key buyers and decision-makers from across the food and drink industry.

Exhibitors already confirmed include South Press Co which creates extra virgin oils from African avocados, macadamia nuts and British rapeseeds, and Nooj Food who produce creamy cashew and almond paste containing over 60% nuts with only water and a little salt, perfect for smoothies, drinks, curries, and fillings of all kinds.

“With flexitarianism increasing in the UK, demand for plant-based food and drink has never been higher. The Food Matters Live 2019 Plant Based Pavilion supported by PB & Co will showcase the most exciting and innovative brands catering for this growing sector,”

commented Food Matters Live Director Briony Mansell-Lewis.

Jenifer Pardoe, founder and CEO of PB & Co, said, “We’re excited to be supporting the Food Matters Live 2019 Plant Based Pavilion. With the plant-based market estimated to reach $5bn by 2020, we’re looking forward to help highlight the fresh and exciting food and drink that will drive this growth.”

In addition to the main exhibition showcasing hundreds of innovative ingredients, brands and products, Food Matters Live 2019 offers a multi-stream education programme featuring hundreds of speakers covering wide-ranging topics, including a dedicated stream investigating innovations in plant-based and meat-free product development. Speakers include Dawn Carr Director of Vegan Corporate Projects, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and Jennifer Pardoe, founder of PB&Co.
