Cherkizovo Group wins Agroinvestor awards in three nominations.
Deal of the Year – a game-changer in the industry. Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest manufacturer of meat products, plans market expansion to major cities of the Siberian Federal District and a 10% poultry production increase, following the acquisition of Altaisky Broiler poultry farm, the leading poultry producer in the Altai Territory and among the top manufacturers in the Siberian Federal District. In this nomination, Cherkizovo Group took the bronze.
Investment of the Year – a business development project introducing a new production technology and an innovation with a strong effect on the industry and business environment. The construction of the new-format pork farm cluster in the Penza Region will set a new level of biosafety and reduce production costs to one of the lowest both in Russia and globally. Cherkizovo Group came second.
Launch of the Year – a completed construction or upgrade, a launch of a production facility, service or product. Cherkizovo Kashira is the first fully automated smoked sausage plant in Russia, unrivalled by the European peers. At full capacity, the plant will produce up to 30,000 tonnes of finished products per year and will serve up to 30% of the domestic demand. In this nomination, Cherkizovo Group received the bronze award.
