POTUS, one of the hottest new restaurants on the Albert Embankment, has today announced Ruaraidh Campbell as the new Head Chef, signalling an exciting move in the restaurant’s culinary direction. Scottish born Campbell, who was formerly at The Hilton Glasgow, will also unveil his highly-anticipated new menu, set to utilise the best of British ingredients to create innovative twists on American and British favourites at the riverside restaurant.

With an emphasis on simple yet creative cooking, Ruaraidh Campbell will reimagine famed American classics including New England Clam Chowder, Ranch Salad, Buttermilk Chicken Strips and San Francisco Seafood Risotto with the launch of his new menu. Drawing influence from his knowledge of America’s vibrant culture and distinct flavours, Campbell has created an American Style Fish & Chips, which brings together Southern-fried hake sweet potato fries, roasted corn and gumbo dip, whilst tourists looking to try some of London’s finest Fish & Chips can opt for the ever-popular Classic British Style.

Set on the ground floor of the Crowne Plaza London – Albert Embankment, POTUS offers an effortlessly luxurious atmosphere, with delicate lighting and a striking bar in the middle of the elegant space, serving an eclectic mix of cocktails themed around American presidents, such as the JFK & Mary and the Teddy Smash “Hat Club”. With live jazz provided by POTUS’ resident pianists five nights a week, the American-inspired restaurant and bar is fast-becoming the go-to spot to eat, drink, chat and be entertained in south London.

For those in the area during the day, the restaurant has also launched POTUS Salad Bar & Grill, designed to capture the hearts of all those looking to stop by the restaurant for a light lunch. The menu contains a range of main courses which serve as a perfect accompaniment to a fresh salad, including grilled minute steak, grilled halloumi cheese and prawn and chorizo skewers.

Head Chef Ruaraidh Campbell commented:

“I am delighted to take over the helm at POTUS, which is fast becoming one of the Albert Embankment’s most exciting restaurants. The new refreshed menu, combined with the live music and innovative cocktails, will further establish POTUS as the ‘go-to’ restaurant for Londoners and tourists alike.’
