Bellavita Expo London, the UK’s largest Mediterranean food & beverage trade show, is open for registration for buyers from the retail and hospitality sector, as it returns for a sixth year to the Business Design Centre from 7-8 November 2019.

Thanks to the co-location with Spanish F&B trade show Ibérica Expo, and the co-operation of Vinitaly and Cibus, Bellavita offers guests the chance to do meet and do business with representatives of over 250 producers from across the Mediterranean as they sample 3,000 high-quality products first-hand and enjoy the assistance of their producers, industry experts and sommeliers in making the right choice for them.

Bellavita brings guests the best of the Mediterranean, working with small artisan producers to iconic household brands. As consumers move to seek out more healthy, sustainable products, this year will see a focus on the growing organic food and beverage market, with a number of vegetarian and vegan free-from goods on display.

A vast range of products will be on showcase, including pastas, pizza, breads, charcuterie, dairy products, oils, dressings, fruits and vegetables, cooking sauces, ready meals, confectioneries and desserts. For those seeking more peculiar gastronomic experiences, a range of more specialist products including fried pickled mussels, organic donkey milk and hemp croutons are sure to satisfy demands. In beverages, guests may sample a number of wines – including organic, low intervention, volcanic, high-altitude and sparkling vintages – as well as beers, ciders, spirits, liqueurs, soft drinks, teas and coffees, with premium ranges from show sponsors Birrificio Angelo Poretti and Villa Sandi in particular available.

The Bellavita stages, BeFood and BeWine – incorporating BeBeer and BeMix, respectively – will host educational seminars and panel discussions on new and upcoming industry trends, while the Bellavita Pizza Academy will take guests on a journey through the secrets of Italian pizza making. The Bellavita Food Pairing Lab, meanwhile, will provide food and beverage pairings to the masterclasses taking place on both stages, matching some of the Expo’s many beers and wines with both Italian and international dishes.

This year, Bellavita Expo also launches a private label networking area, giving producers the chance to meet with buyers seeking products for private label distribution at some of the UK’s biggest retailers. Rounding off this year’s Expo once again is the Bellavita Awards, where prizes will be awarded to the best of the food and beverage products on display, based on the judgment of 300 VIP buyers.

Famed Michelin-star chefs including MasterChef Italia judge Giorgio Locatelli (Locanda Locatelli), Junior MasterChef Italia judge Gennaro Esposito (Torre Del Saracino) and Theo Randall (Theo Randall at the InterContinental) will offer their insight in culinary masterclasses and seminars. Presiding over the Bellavita Pizza Academy are Marco Fuso, founder of the London International Pizza School, and the Association of Professional Italian Cooks (APCI UK), both providing their considerable insights into the art of pizza making. Once again acting as Bellavita Expo’s Resident Chef is Nicoletta Tavella, head of La Cucina del Sole, the Netherland’s largest school of Italian cuisine.

Maintaining relationships with distributors, balancing cost and quality of ingredients, the challenges of online and offline retailing, and the rising popularity of organic and volcanic wines are just a few of the subjects up for debate at this year’s panels. Taking part will be representatives from some of the biggest names in the UK wine distribution sector, including; Carson & Carnevale, Fields, Morris & Virdian, Corney & Barrow and The Graft Wine Company.

Thanks to the insight of industry experts on a huge variety of food and beverages on offer, Bellavita Expo London 2019 promises to deliver F&B buyers and enthusiasts its biggest, most comprehensive show yet.
